Welcome, Richard Small!
Sue and I are pleased to host the inimitable Richard Small and his lovely wife, Yuriko, for the next few days here in Bloomington. I have urged you for some time to check out his work and be prepared to admire what you see, especially the outstanding work Richard does with cars of all ages and varieties. He shoots and writes for various publications in his home state of California, and we are excited to renew our friendship and show him around Bloomington. And this is especially true since Richard spent his early years here (yes, right here in Bloomington!). It no doubt will be a bit of a shock for him to see that few if any of his remembered hangouts remain. But it will be a treat for us to have him here.
If you have yet to see any of Richard’s work, click here. Now. You will be able to see the breadth and width of his artistic eye and technical skills. Richard has a real passion for what he shoots, and it certainly shows. So while he is here I hope to get out the cameras and cover as much territory as we can (Richard in the lead and me taking notes as fast as I can). If we run into you over the next few days be sure to stop and say hello. Because Richard not only is a heckuva shooter; he is a heckuva guy.

Good luck with Richard and his lovely wife…. because Corbin and the surrounding area will never be the same after his visit. Just kidding, just kidding. What great folks and it was a pleasure to spend some time with them…. that darn work thing kept me from getting to shoot any with him but he and Bill got some good stuff. Have a safe trip home Richard and Jim and Sue we will see you in a couple of weeks.
