Jerry Ghionis On Kelby Training
I had heard the name Jerry Ghionis in wedding photography circles a few times, but I never saw any of his work. He was held in high regard by the wedding shooters who brought up his name, so I figured he had to be pretty good. What an understatement! What an under-understatement!! This man is a shooter, folks! No matter your interest – weddings, portraits, seniors, you-name-it he will make it look better. His use of light, his knowledge of posing, his way with people … he is a master shooter (who has absolutely outstanding teaching skills). I urge you, strongly urge you, to find some of his work and see for yourself.
And here is the easiest, best way I have found for you to do so. Click here to go to Kelbytraining.com and look for the two latest courses Jerry has posted (Picture Perfect Lighting Techniques for Wedding Photographers and Perfect Posing Techniques for Wedding Photographers). They are go-to models of how to shoot people (you don’t have to be a wedding photographer to appreciate these courses). And … you can do it for FREE!
Once you click on Scott Kelby’s training website look down the page to the third row of text. There you will see a box labeled ‘Free Test Drive’. There will be a number on the image of a road sign. If it is set on zero, sorry. Try again tomorrow. If there is a number in the box, click and enjoy a FREE one-day pass to watch as much of the training as you like (or have time for). Once you earn your free pass be sure to first watch the two Jerry Ghionis courses if you are in any way interested in shooting people (with your camera!). I can’t say enough about his skills, the techiniques he passes on, and his effective manner of teaching. Count me as a fan!
I receive nothing for pointing out Scott Kelby’s training site. It just is such a collecting spot for so many of the best shooters and instructors in the business that it can’t be beat as a training tool. If you want to be a better phtographer, get yourself a subscription. Even if it is just for a day.
