One Shot HDR

I know, you either love HDR or you hate HDR. (If you are not familiar with the term do a quick web search and the photos you turn up will act as an instant primer). But here is a nice little example set up with before and after photos from Moose Peterson, a really good outdoor photographer. The nice thing about Moose’s examples is that all the images are done with one photo … that’s right, one! Easy set up, easy processing, and you either will be blown away or you will hit the delete key. All you need to do is download a free trial copy of Photomatix (the HDR program which never expires, by the way) and follow Moose’s lead [link]. For what it’s worth, some of his examples I really like … some I couldn’t stand. You be the judge.

Also, Jeff Revell is a fine photographer who has a quick look at Photomatix and Photomatix Light with some advice on how to process those one-shot images posted on February 16th. It’s worth a look [link].

AND … the Adorama iPhone contest I wrote about earlier has been extended two more weeks. There still is time for all you IPhone shutterbugs to win some great prizes from Adorama. The details are here …. [link]
